Ann Wheeler

Ann Wheeler is an associate professor of mathematics education in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. She earned her Ph.D. In Educational Mathematics from the University of Northern Colorado after serving as a junior high mathematics teacher in Arkansas. She teaches undergraduate and graduate mathematics and mathematics education classes. She has been a member of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE) Technology Committee, editorial panel member for the Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education (CITE) journal, and member of AMTE-TX’s Nominations and Elections Committee. She has also served as a reviewer for various mathematics education journals. Her research focuses on the use of children’s literature and technology in a mathematics classroom.
