Michael Berson, Social Studies Education Co-Editor

Michael Berson is an assistant professor in the Department of Secondary Education at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He currently teaches courses in Social Science Methodology and is co-coordinator of doctoral studies in social science education. He conducts research on global child advocacy and technology in social studies education. He recently coauthored the book Social Studies on the Internet.

Michael currently chairs the technology committee of the National Council for the Social Studies College and University Faculty Assembly (CUFA). He also is a member of UNESCO's (the United Nation's education, scientific and cultural organization) Innocence in Danger U.S. National Action Committee, an online global Internet education, safety, and research initiative.
