Dee Anna Willis, Current Practices Co-Editor

Dee Anna Willis is an associate professor of reading and language arts methods and educational computing, graduate and undergraduate. She received her Ed. D. from Texas Tech University in 1989 in reading instruction with a minor in ed computing. She
has taught at East Carolina University and University of Houston and is now at Northwestern State University of Louisiana. She is one of the founders of SITE (formerly STATE), one of the general editors of the SITE Annual, and co-editor with Jerry Willis of the Journal of Technology and Teacher Education. She serves on the board of the SITE sister UK publication, the Journal of Instructional Technology in Teacher Education.

Before going into higher ed, Dee Anna taught language development, math, and reading to migrant children, grades 1-5. She considered it a most wonderful and rewarding job, because the kids are so super. Because there were some she didn't know how to help, she went back to college to learn how to be a better teacher. Now she is teaching the teachers, hoping for geometric progression when it comes to helping children.
