David Hicks, Social Studies Education Co-Editor

David is an assistant professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).

David taught middle school social studies in New York and served as curator/educator for the Roanoke Valley History Museum before completing his Ph.D studies at Virginia Tech in 1999.

He has publications appearing in Mathematics Teacher, International Journal of Social Education, and Social Education.
