Christine Browning, Math Education Co-Editor

Christine Browning, professor of Mathematics Education at Western Michigan
University, is a former junior high mathematics and science teacher who earned
her PhD in mathematics education from The Ohio State University in 1988. Since
then, she has been at Western Michigan, where her areas of research interest
have included middle school mathematics teacher education, assessment, and
calculator use in the teaching and learning of mathematics.
Christine is
currently involved in a National Science Foundation funded curriculum
development project focusing on the mathematics content for preservice
elementary teachers. She is academic coordinator for Teachers Teaching
with Technology, Middle School Mathematics, and Dealing with Data summer
institutes.
